Happy Birthday Kevin Davis

Kevin Davis, our Aerospace and Defence Sales Manager, will be turning 60 years young this Friday! We couldn’t let this landmark birthday pass without a special thank you from the team at Cube.

Kevin joined our sales team in June 2010, just 18 months after we started the business, having previously been Production Manager for several toolmakers within the local area. This unique mix of first-hand engineering experience along with sales, has meant that Kevin has been extremely successful in his role and is a passionate and valued member of the team. With our customers, he is not just the sales contact but also an advisor, sharing his thoughts and experience on projects to ensure our customers always get the best outcome on their projects.

Kevin most definitely has the busiest social life outside of Cube, with many interests including being a Manchester United season ticket holder, active fundraiser, fancy dresser and DJ.

Music particularly plays an important part in Kevin’s life, having found a love for Ska, Reggae, Motown and Northern Soul music. His love of this type of music even helps to build great client relationships, we have been in several new customer meetings when part way through our presentation Kevin’s ringtone will play his favourite Ska track at the time, and as silence falls in the room, we establish that there are several other Ska music fans there with us too.

Kevin’s fancy dress also opened a door for us with a now, longstanding client. A chance meeting between the purchasing manager and Kevin dressed as a surgeon and carrying a slab of beer (don’t ask!), meant his request for an initial meeting could no longer be ignored and the following week he met with the customer we had been trying to get into for several months.

Kevin brings something truly unique to Cube and we would all agree that it wouldn’t be the same without him being part of the team. We are looking forward to celebrating the day with Kevin and we know that he has a Stomper event lined up for the evening, especially for his birthday.

Happy Birthday Kevin!
