A catch up with Dean Hemming…

Cube Precision Tooling

We thought we’d catch up with Dean Hemming, one of our new starters that joined the team in January to see how he was getting on in his new role……

Dean has now been with Cube for two months, joining us to work on our Hurco Milling machines. He previously completed his apprenticeship through In-Comm, one of the UK’s top providers of training and business services and joined us, with already a great deal of experience in mechanical manufacturing and using the Hurco machines.

Dean has been working on projects to engineer progression and press tooling for the Automotive Industry, an area where we have seen growth recently with the on boarding of new customers.

Dean comments, ‘My experience so far at Cube has been amazing. I’m working on one of the smaller Hurco machines and in terms of software, the machine and the type of work I have been given, it has already been a far better experience than the organisations I worked for previously.

In just two months I feel like my skills have progressed beyond what I could have expected. I can’t believe how much I’ve learnt in such a short time frame, it feels like I have been here longer than I have.

I have an ambition to eventually work on one of the larger Hurco machines and learn how to use the programming tool Powermill.

The whole team at Cube have been really welcoming and supportive. The management are really encouraging, helped with my progression and always looking for opportunities for me to develop further, even in the short time that I have been here. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be in such a great organisation, I couldn’t be happier!’
